Design process

I began this project by studying the Chilean government’s public procurement regulations to understand the procedures, restrictions, and general conditions for purchases in the public sector.

Next, I reviewed the preliminary project documentation to understand the strategy, objectives, and team assigned by the institution for the project’s development.

With this information, I approached each member of the core and support team to interview them about their perspective on the project, using a stakeholder interview guide.

Then, with the support of the adoption team, I conducted interviews with users who purchased data center services. This was to understand their experiences with the current process and identify areas of satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

Using the interview data, I created a document summarizing the results, highlighting the main insights, trends, and conclusions from both the business and user perspectives.

Finally, I accessed the system in its test version to understand its current functionality and visualize its optimal version.

With this background, I began to develop the current and ideal user journeys.

As a measure to support the development team, I prepared a document of the current and ideal flow that allowed, in just one view, to see the differences and which parts could be reused from the bidding module.
